We make choices every moment of every day through our words and actions. What we say and do matters. So, understand the significance of my words when I state that the current White House occupant is the worst United States President in my lifetime. He chooses words that belittle, demean, and insult perceived enemies while inciting riots, violence, and hatred – not out of a just cause but rather what appears to be a way to distract from his self-serving need to stay out of jail or be held accountable in any way. He is no hero, deity, monarch, nor role model worthy of praise. His words and actions pit citizen against citizen, stoking the flames that insecurity and bigotry set ablaze.
No one accused of insurrection, sexual harassment & assault, corruption, and fraud is worthy of the most beloved/respected position in America’s government. No man who stated “grab ‘em by the p****” or that he can kiss women whenever he wants should ever hold positions of power that impact women. He once promised in October of 2024 to protect women “whether they like it or not”, language that’s wholly in line with an egotistic, power-hungry, domineering misogynist. I do not trust said individual to protect me because it is him that I would seek protection from.
He does not speak for me. His values are not mine. His choices, in terms of words and actions, reflect a man who’s unqualified, unstable, and unfit for the powerful position in which he wields at will. This individual who speaks through bigoted, tyrannical statements endangers not only my fellow Americans but everyone around the globe. Unlike those who speak in nationalist, ethnocentric terms America needs a leader who understands that our actions have global consequences. That what we say and do impacts those outside of the perceived “America First” bubble.

America’s current “leader” has proven time and time again through the words he chooses and actions he takes that he is undeserving of the office in which he now occupies. If he truly sought to help America thrive, he wouldn’t be the one wounding Her in the first place.
Our strength as a nation requires us to truly be a united group of states through those who lead with compassion, ethics, intelligence, curiosity, and humility. We must treat our neighbors and visitors as we would like to be treated. We must be worthy once more of Lady Liberty. I love America and will stand at Her side when those in powerful positions make choices that demean, belittle, and vilify everything that truly makes Her great.
The words I choose matter, and I’ll continue to use them to prompt thoughtful discourse, inspire contemplation, and encourage self-reflection. May these words counterbalance those chosen through cowardice, incompetence and vitriol – inspiring elected officials (across the aisle) to truly protect and serve the needs of their constituents by speaking truth to power. Pre acquiescence to a bully’s demands will not keep us safe or make America a great country once again. You need to defend us, fight for us (lawfully, ethically, and peacefully), and believe in us. America has a flawed history – one that should never be silenced again – that demands we face the truth of our fractured past to help one another in the present so that generations to come have a more equitable future.
